Team Meetings 

    

            There will be two Team Meetings for you to attend before the Walk.  At these Meetings you will be able to hear Talks, join in the bonding of the Community, and be sure each Speaker is assigned a Banner for their Talk.  Forms are provided.

 

 

Wednesday Afternoon

 

          On Wednesday afternoon before the Pilgrims arrive, around 5:00 p.m.

unpack and organize the Banners you will use for the Walk.  Hang each Banner on the Banner rack in the order you will need them. All other Banners can be left in the box. This is especially important if you will not be there for the whole Walk and you have a Co-Chair, or an ALD hang the Banners at certain times.

* The first Banner needs to be hung by 5:00 p.m. – pg. 2, “The Walk To Emmaus”.  This Banner will remain in place until Thursday Afternoon.  Page 11,  The Prodigal Son” Banner should be delivered to the Worship Committee on Wednesday evening for use at the Thursday morning devotion.  The Worship Committee should be located in the Agape Room, across from the In-Door Chapel, on top of the hill.  Be sure to attend the Wednesday Night Team Meeting to insure all the speakers have selected a Banner for their Talk.

 

Thursday

 

          There are no Banners to hang on Thursday morning.  May sure all the Banners are in place for the Talks.  Make sure that all Banners are placed in the Dinning Hall after they are used.

        *  After lunch, the blue “Blessing Before and After Meals” Banners should be hung in the dining hall behind the head table.  Also in the dining hall hang pg. 11, “The Prodigal Son” Banner and one other Banner that will not be used for the Walk.  Agape Cards need to be made for each Banner.  You will need index cards to provide the Name of the Banner, and who made that Banner, or provided it for Central Alabama Emmaus.  Be sure to place the Agape Banner Cards at the head Table where the ALD’s sit at the end of the Table.  This is informing the Pilgrims Banners are a very important part of our Agape. 

*  After the Justifying Grace Talk the “Walk To Emmaus” Banner should be removed and replaced with the pg. 23, “Life In Piety” Banner.  “The Walk to Emmaus” Banner should be removed and taken to Worship for the evening devotion.  This Banner change should take place during Dinner and the Pilgrims will not see the new Banner until just before the Talk.

 

Friday

 

        *  While the Pilgrims are at breakfast, replace the “Life In Piety” Banner with the pg. 14, Growth Through Study” Banner.

         *After Breakfast be sure that the Worship Committee has the pg. 16,  “Dying Moments” Banner. And the pg. 18,  “Come In, I’ve Been Expecting You” Banner to set up for Dying Moments.

         *Before lunch, hang “The Life Of Piety” Banner and one other Banner that is not being used in the Dining Hall.  Be sure to take the Permanent Agape Banner Card to the Head Table for the ALD’s to announce to the Pilgrims.

         *During the Break at 9:25 replace the “Growth Through Study” Banner with the pg. 15, “Means of Grace” Banner.

         *Before the Pilgrims return to the Conference Room at 1:00 p.m., replace the “Means of Grace” Banner selected by the Speaker, “Christian Action” Banner.

          *During the 3:45 p.m. Refreshment Break, replace the “Christian Action” Banner with the pg. pg. 9, “Obstacles to Grace” Banner.

           Be sure to get the pg. 3, “Have You Seen Jesus” Banner to Logistics for the Candlelight Service.

          *Before Dinner hang in the Dining Hall, “Growth Through Study”, “Means of Grace”, “Christian Action”, and at least two other Banners not being used.  Don’t forget to take the Permanent Agape Banners Cards to the ALD’s Table.

           *During the Dinner Banquet replace the “Obstacles to Grace” Banner with the Banner selected by the Speaker for the “Discipleship Talk”.

            Get the pg. 13, “Come Holy Spirit” Banner to the Worship Committee for Saturday Morning Devotion, Serenade.  

 

 

Saturday

 

            This is a very busy day for the Banner Chairperson.  The Talks are very close together and you will need to keep a close watch on when each Talk begins and ends.  You will be required to change out some of the Banners while the Pilgrims are still in the Conference Room.

           *While the Pilgrims are at Morning Devotion, Serenade, or Breakfast, replace the

“Discipleship” Banner with, the Banner selected by the Speaker for the “Changing Our World” Talk.

          *As SOON as the “Changing Our World” Talk is completed, while the Pilgrims are having their Discussion time, replace the  “Changing Our World” Banner with the Banner selected by the Speaker for the “Sanctifying Grace” Talk.

         *As SOON as the “Sanctifying Grace” Talk is completed, while the Pilgrims are having their Discussion time, replace the “Sanctifying Grace” Banner with the pg. 6, “Body Of Christ” Banner.

         *During Lunch, Replace the “Body Of Christ” Banner with the Banner selected by the Speaker giving the “Perseverance Talk”, The Lay Director for the Walk.

          BE SURE to take pg.2.,“Walk To Emmaus” Banner and the pg. 3, “Have You Seen Jesus” Banner, up the hill for Closing.

           Begin to pack up all the Banners after Lunch.  Retrieve all the Banners from the Dining Hall, and the Worship Committee.  Make sure all the Banners except the Closing Banners are packed neatly into the Banner Box.  Disassemble the Banners Rack and begin to prepare for Logistics to move everything to the storage area. 

          * After the “Perseverance Talk” while the Pilgrims are having their Discussion Time, replace the “Perseverance Talk” Banner with the Banner selected by the Speaker for the “Forth Day Talk”. 

          After the “Forth Day Talk”, remove the Banner and complete the packing of the Banner Box.  Notify Logistics when everything is packed.

          LOGISTICS WILL get the two Banners that are hung for the Closing and place them in the Banner Box after the Closing is complete.

 

*DON”T FORGET to put this Book in the Box provided at Closing for the next Walk Committee.  There will be a sign-up sheet to put the names of all people that worked with you for that Walk.
